SILVER GILT AWARD FOR ANGMERING IN BLOOM
Angmering in Bloom were awarded a Silver Gilt at this years South and South East In Bloom Awards held on Friday 11 September at the AMEX Stadium in Brighton. There is a maximum possible score of 200 points, to receive a Gold requires a score of 170. Unfortunately we scored 164 points, which although 6 more than last year is still 6 short of Gold.
St Margaret's Court received a Level 4 "Thriving", again, for their entry into 'Its Your Neighbourhood'.
Several Committee members attended the Awards ceremony, Julia Phelon and Lorraine Wensley received the award from celebrity gardener Chris Collins and Tom Hart-Dyke, the Lullingstone Castle World Garden creator.
We would like to thank our Sponsors, Village Businesses, local residents and everyone who has helped us make Angmering a village to be proud of. The judges enjoyed walking around the Village and meeting various residents.
Judging Day took place on Wednesday 15 July - the day started a little dull but brightened up on the way round.
A presentation, detailing this years achievements and plans for next year, was made to the Judges in the Kings Suite at the Village Hall prior to their tour around the Village.
The Judges spent the morning visiting a number of locations and projects we have been involved in around the Village
