Angmering Village Floral displays
St Margaret's Churchyard
On Wednesday 9 March the team spent the morning planting. An area was chosen in St Margaret's Churchyard, where a tree had previously been felled, to plant an area of snowdrops and primroses. These will enhance the previous ones planted by the Rainbows a couple of years ago along the church wall.
On the same Wednesday, the team also planted snowdrops in the new perennial bed in front of Pooks Hill Cottage, which hopefully will make a colourful display early next year.
Station Road and High Street
On Wednesday 28 October John, Brenda and Julia spent a beautiful sunny morning planting crocus bulbs under the road signs along Station Road and High Street. Hopefully next Spring they will make a cheerful colourful display for all to enjoy.
Village Centre beds
In September Lorraine, Brenda, Anne, Judy, Claire and Julia removed some of the Dahlias, Verbena and Salvias, prior to Ferring Nurseries clearing the Summer bedding ready for Winter planting. We plan to overwinter them and if possible use them next Summer.
