This year our annual Plant Sale took place on the 31st May in Angmering Village Hall.
Many of the team had spent months lovingly nurturing plants at home to sell, and we also received generous donations from our sponsors. Ferring Nurseries donated plants, including hanging baskets, and two raffle prizes. Haskins donated a raffle prize and Culberry Nursery donated plants including herbs. We had tables all around the hall piled high with bedding plants, herbs, shrubs, vegetables and lots more.
The sale was extremely well attended, and the majority of the plants sold out within the first hour. Luckily we had plenty of volunteers on hand to help with the setting up and sale.
As well as plants we also had a tempting range of cakes on offer, baked by our members, along with tea and coffee and tables to sit down and enjoy them. This area was very popular, and all the cakes sold out!
Another great success was the Guess the Plant competition, with the winner receiving this beautiful Olive Tree donated by Quercus Nursery.
All prize winners have been contacted, and the small number of remaining plants were donated to Dogs for Autism.
The sale was a great success, and in total we raised £1476. Thank you to everyone that came and supported us, and we hope to see you all again next year!
