In 2025 Angmering in Bloom were approached by the new West Sussex Library Area Manager for help restoring the overgrown garden to the rear of Angmering Library, with the intention of creating a community garden which will be open during library hours. The garden will be officially opened at the end of May, and here how you can see how Angmering in Bloom have contributed to the project.
Official Opening Event 2026
The Library Garden was officially opened on the 26th May 2026.

May 2026
The team returned to add planting and tidy up. Members of the team have also been visiting regularly to make sure that everything is kept watered. It’s all ready for the grand opening later this month!

April 2026
Members of the team spent the morning working in the garden, tidying up and filling planters with a variety of plants, again donated by Ferring Nurseries.

The garden is now filled with colourful plants ready for the grand opening.

September 2025
The first plants were added to the garden. Plants and compost for this project were kindly donated to the Library by Ferring Nurseries.

Summer 2025
Over the summer the beds were weeded and overgrown plants removed.

Cardboard was laid down to prevent further weed growth, and the beds were prepared for planting.
