Angmering Revealed, September 2024
Angmering in Bloom was once again in attendance at Angmering Revealed, taking up two tables in the corner or the marquee. Our stall was set up with various activities for children and a selection of plants for sale, all of which we’d grown ourselves. Some may think that the end of the summer would be an odd time to buy plants but as they were all hardy perennials (those that are happy outside all year) it’s the perfect time of year to get them into the ground. The soil is warmly moist and the days cooler, perfect for getting them off to a flying start in the Spring. Because the plants were grown by us the costs to our purchasers are minimal, probably at least 50% lower than in garden centres and all monies raised go back into making our village bloom. With plant sales and some donations, we were able to add £80 to our coffers for future purchases.
Thank you to everyone who stopped for a chat, friends we’ve known for years along with many who are new to the village your support is always very welcome.
